American Salers Association logo

Updated May 2025, by the ASA Board of Directors, current owners of record on a sire used artificially may do so without an A.I. Permit. The sire must still have a DNA type on file.

If any semen is sold to a non-owner, then the bull must have an A.I. permit on file and A.I. certificates will still be necessary to register resulting calves for a non-owner.
