Records of Efficiency (ROE)

The American Salers Association developed the Records of Efficiency (ROE) program to increase within-herd improvement and perpetuate genetic progress within the breed and the entire beef industry. Though visual appraisal still plays an important role recording and evaluating all types of performance information is crucial to accurate livestock selection for both the seedstock and commercial sector.

With a recorded performance history, you can make knowledgeable and necessary selection/management decisions, in a timely fashion, that will have a direct effect on the progress of your program. In addition, when marketing your product, you will be able to supply the potential buyer information that will document performance and predictability of breeding stock being offered. The ASA Whole Herd Registry ( WHR) system makes reporting all performance data a one step process.
